Job Title: PSV Technician / Bus Mechanic / HGV Fitter Salary: GBP33,500-GBP38,500 Type: Permanent Location: Manchester We are looking for a PSV Technician / Bus Mechanic / HGV Fitter to join our client one of the UK rsquo;s largest bus operators. You will be joining one of the largest bus operators in the UK who are well known for its professional services and high standards. We require technicians to be flexible and match our high expectations in terms of the services and standards we provide to our clients. PSV Technician / Bus Mechanic / HGV Fitter Job Responsibilities: * Carry out repairs, inspections, and maintenance on buses to ensure they meet safety and performance standards. * Perform scheduled servicing and preventive maintenance tasks. * Investigate, diagnose, and record any mechanical and electronic faults. * Carry out vehicle road testing if necessary to identify specific vehicle faults or following remedial repair. * Collaborate with the maintenance team to address any arising issues promptly. * Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report any major faults or defects. PSV Technician / Bus Mechanic / HGV Fitter Qualifications and Requirements: * Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably with a focus on buses or heavy-duty vehicles. * A minimum Level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent (i.e. City Guilds Level 1 2) * Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical staff.
