Interim management accountant

Company Details and Job Overview: Kenton Black Finance are exclusively supporting a client within the Education sector who require interim management accounting support until the end of December 2024. A longer-term or permanent post may become available after this time, due to significant and ongoing growth. Alongside strong management accounting and reporting capabilities, an analytical and inquisitive mindset is vital as you will be required to analyse variances and present financial insight and advice where required. Key Benefits/ Rewards on Offer: bull; Competitive pay rate depending on experience bull; 28 days annual leave entitlement + bank holidays bull; Hybrid working (typically 2 office days per week) bull; 37 hour working week with flexibility on start/finish times bull; Local Government Pension Scheme bull; Plenty of free parking on site Your New Role as Interim Management Accountant: Reporting to the CFO, as Interim Management Accountant specific responsibilities will include: bull; Coordination of month end close down processes bull; Produce timely and accurate management accounting reports bull; Assist with budget setting and monitoring bull; Assist with the production of annual financial statements bull; Posting accruals, prepayments and adjustments bull; Production of monthly reconciliations bull; Analysis of variances bull; Support continual improvement initiatives relating to systems, procedures and controls Experience Qualifications Required to Apply: The successful candidate will have proven ability to quickly pick up new systems and processes and be comfortable working under own supervision. Experienced in a similar management accounting role, you will have strong analytical capabilities with good systems skills including Excel. Experience within the Education sector is hugely desirable but not essential and you will be available to begin working at fairly short notice.
