Customer service assistant

Jewson Partnership Solutions (JPS) specialise in providing solutions and building materials for our customers in the Public Sector such as Housing Associations and Local Authorities. We have a new branch opening in Newbury and we #39;re on the hunt for a Customer Service Assistant who #39;s as passionate about great service as we are! We provide a fulfilling and enjoyable work environment with ample opportunities for career growth, along with a competitive salary, staff discount, life assurance, and 34 days of holiday (inclusive of bank holidays). *Please note: A full valid driving license is required for this role Working Hours: 7.30 - 17.00 Monday to Friday Location: Unit F, Kennetside Ind Est, Newbury, RG14 5PX Key Responsibilities: Get to know our product lines and services in order to make the most of all customer interactions in line with our JPS values Develop great relationships with new and existing customers (both face to face and over the phone), understanding their needs and providing proactive advice and solutions so that you can deliver the best experience possible Use our in-house systems to process customer orders, organise delivery times, manage stock control and keep customers updated throughout their journey Pick and prepare customer orders in our warehouse and load onto customer and delivery vehicles Act as a relief driver for the branch, performing deliveries to our customers when needed in a 3.5t van Keep the branch and yard/warehouse looking clean and tidy, to make a great first impression on our customers Maintain stock levels, carrying out regular stock counts Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement Required Skills and Experience A full, manual driving license, held for a minimum of 1 year Previous industry experience preferred but not essential Experience in a customer facing environment IT literate and a strong communicator Passion for working with people with a positive can-do attitude What #39;s in it for you?
