Head of standby design engineering

We are on a mission to transform the industry, aligning our strategies with a sustainable future. We are looking for a Head of Standby Design Engineering to join our Engineering Team. The Head of D E Standby manages the whole team of engineers who are responsible for the operational delivery of engineering packages on UPS and Generator projects ensuring compliance with both project specifications and industry standards. The Head of D E Standby lead the development and improvement of engineering operations processes and best practices and supports the business development group. This role has overall responsibility for quality, process and the high standards our customers expect. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: bull; Responsibility to oversee and manage the Technical Applications Engineers and CAD team, providing guidance, mentoring and leadership to the whole team. bull; Leadership and management of the Engineering Standby team CAD team in the design and delivery of projects. bull; To manage and take overall responsibility for the Engineering and CAD Standby team. bull; Reporting weekly and monthly to the Senior Leadership Team as outlined in the KPI rsquo;s for the Engineering Operations team. bull; Ensure the Engineering Team follow the AVK Quality plan and meet all customer needs and deadlines. bull; Planning and implementation of CAD workload and drawing production. bull; Design of and production of various schedules and systems in conjunctions with clients and subcontractors. bull; Provide Sales support in technical applications. bull; Manage Engineering attendance at design meetings with consultants / clients. bull; Ensure department attendance at all Generator and UPS FAT, SAT and IST testing in UK and/or Europe, which may require regular overseas attendance. bull; Attend internal project review meetings to review engineering content. bull; Attend monthly project reviews. bull; Production and review of O M manuals. bull; Responsible for maintaining latest and relevant British International standards library and implementation within the AVK design. bull; Other Departmental activities as requested by the business.
