Workshop engineer mechanical fitter

Carbon60 are recruiting for a Workshop Engineer to work for a large engineering company that service pumps, compressors, turbines, and generators. This Workshop Engineer role is on a permanent basis and has become available due to continued growth and expansion. The ideal candidate is someone who is experienced in the assembly and testing of rotating equipment. Role Responsibilities: Carry out the assembly, operation, and testing of pumps and associated rotating equipment. Overhaul and repair various types of rotating machinery in our state-of-the-art workshop. Collaborate with the global network to ensure the availability of spare parts for efficient operations. Undertake field-based assignments, approximately 10% of the time, to provide on-site support and services. Skills and Experience required: Proven experience in the assembly, operation, and testing of pumps and associated rotating equipment. Strong mechanical and technical skills in the overhaul and repair of rotating machinery. Ability to work independently in a workshop-based environment and occasionally in the field. Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering excellence. Salary: up to GBP36,967 + bonus and overtime. 90% workshop based 10% field based.
