Job Advert: Support Worker - Croydon (3-Month Contract) Position: Support Worker Location: Croydon Contract Type: 3-Month Contract Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker for a 3-month contract in Croydon. The successful candidate will provide vital support in accordance with the client #39;s range of needs through safety planning, aspirations assessments, and one-to-one keywork sessions. Key Responsibilities: Client Support: Deliver relevant support to clients via support and safety planning, aspirations assessments, and one-to-one keywork sessions. Activity Assistance: Assist service users in attending educational, leisure, and health-related activities, accompanying them as appropriate. Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate records of service users and all other records related to the upkeep and maintenance of the service. This includes electronic records on our organisational system. Housing Management: Carry out housing management functions including rent collection and management, reporting repairs, and managing the beginning and end of tenancies/licences at the schemes. Multi-Agency Collaboration: Encourage and promote effective multi-agency working to ensure that the risks of service users are mitigated and their needs and aspirations are met to a high standard. This involves establishing close contacts with various communities, statutory, and voluntary organisations. Domestic Assistance: Assist with domestic tasks when appropriate. Legislation and Policy Compliance: Have knowledge of and follow relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. Professional Development: Participate in regular supervisions and annual appraisals, and seek out opportunities for continuous professional development within the service, organisation, and externally. Requirements: Proven experience in a similar support role. Strong understanding of housing management functions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain accurate records and manage electronic systems. Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. Ability to work collaboratively with multi-agency partners.
