Position: Teacher of Science (Chemistry Specialist) Teacher of all science across Key Stages 3, Teacher of Chemistry at GCSE and A-Level Location: Cambridge Contract type: Permanent, part-time (0.7 FTE) Pay: GBP35,000 ndash; GBP50,000 (FTE) (schools own pay scale) Salary is dependent on experience, training, and qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are QTS/QTLS This role is suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECT) Contract start: September 2024 The role Vision for Education are proud to be working in partnership with a highly desirable independent school in the Cambridge area to recruit a Teacher of Chemistry for a permanent position. This role is a part-time position with a work pattern that is 0.7fte (3 and a half days a week). This exciting role will consist of teaching all sciences at Key Stage 3 and teaching Chemistry at GCSE and A-Level. You will be joining an experienced, supportive, and high achieving science department. The main purpose of the role is to impact positively on student achievement and attainment through planning and delivering high quality lessons. Main duties of this Teacher of Chemistry role include: Plan teaching to achieve good or better progress in student learning To bring to life the practical and investigative nature of the subject Use data and assessment information to inform planning Set high expectations of student behaviour and develop positive relationships with both learners and colleagues Collaborate with other departmental members to develop schemes of work The school The successful candidate will be joining a leading co-educational independent school in the Cambridge area.
