Graduate project engineer

Graduate Project Manager Derby GBP27000 ndash; GBP32000pa Main Purpose of Job: Manage all live and potential projects within the Technical, Design and Projects department. Role Responsibilities Drive the daily activities for live and potential projects, also internal and external tooling projects, through gate procedure to conclusion Liaise with customers and suppliers to co-ordinate live and potential projects Support the Sales team providing viable solutions Provide technical support for products and tooling Carry out product development and innovations, understanding the design, feasibility and implementation of products Support the Projects and Sales teams at various events and shows Attend mould trials Co-ordinate technical solution information Communicate with and advise potential customers Keep internal customers updated about on-going projects and enquiries Prepare and deliver presentations to internal/external customers Produce information for tooling costings Technical management ndash; advise and recommend technical packaging solutions, to customers Complete documentation to enable sales to provide official quotations Carry out and report upon relevant customer, industry, product and competitor research Manage project timelines in accordance with the project plan Contact manufacturers of tooling replacement parts to specify requirements Attend training with Group and external as required. Qualifications and Experience Degree qualified and / or Project Management certification desired Six Sigma certification, Yellow Belt or above desired Demonstrable experience in a Project Management role, such as setting goals and objectives, defining roles and producing schedules and timelines for tasks Experience of complex spreadsheets and ability to perform advanced functions in Microsoft Excel Experience in a technical sales / customer-facing role and presenting
