As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will: Support students with autism across various age groups, from primary to secondary levels. Assist teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student #39;s needs. Facilitate engaging and interactive learning activities, including sensory play, communication exercises, and social skills development. Provide one-on-one support to pupils, helping them with daily tasks and reinforcing positive behaviours. Help create and maintain a structured and supportive classroom environment. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to each child #39;s education and wellbeing. Participate in regular training sessions and team meetings to continuously improve your skills and knowledge. Requirements: Experience working with children or adults with autism or other special educational needs is highly advantageous. A compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic attitude. Availability to work Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM ndash; 4:30 PM. (5:00pm finish on Wednesdays) A child-only DBS registered to the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A relevant qualification in Health and Social Care or Education is preferred but not essential.
