Site manager

We are looking to recruit a Site Manager for our new and exciting schemes, overseeing of day to day running of the project. Works are to be completed on time, on budget and in line with Health and Safety standards. You will report to the contracts manager. Schemes range in value from GBP100K - GBP1.5M the larger schemes would involve the running of the site only. The smaller schemes may involve an element of minor working on site while running the project. Qualifications: middot; 5+ years expereince working for a Main Contractor in a similar capacity. middot; Experience in delivering commercial schemes, within various sectors. middot; SMSTS essential middot; CSCS essential middot; First aid essential middot; Experience of working with multiple sub contractors middot; Experience with refurbishments and extensions. middot; Full UK Driving Licence Skills: middot; The ability to manage co-ordinate multiple sub contractors middot; PC Literate middot; Good level of commercial awareness middot; Excellent problem-solving skills middot; Excellent communication, presentation, management, and negotiation skills middot; Experience with all trades ndash; groundworks, steelworks, electrical, mechanical, carpenters, general trades. middot; Ability to interpret drawings and identify any issues or problems with design. middot; Experience with construction programmes with the ability to monitor and assess site progress middot; Clean driving license. middot; Good organisational skills. middot; Self-motivated, driven and a team player. Roles and responsibility: middot; Supplying information to resolve any on site issues middot; Manage direct employees and subcontract labour middot; Manage material supply call-offs middot; Promote and ensure quality of sub-contract work as projects progress middot; Identifying areas for improvement (if required) middot; Review construction drawings middot; Liaise with Design co-ordinator consultants when required to overcome site problems middot; Ensure the H S and presentation of sites are compliant and to a level acceptable to the client middot; H S audits and ensure all RAMS are reviewed and up to date at all times middot; Provide support/advice for construction programming middot; Monitor actual site progress to the latest programme and report back to the contracts manager. middot; Monitor outstanding information required to complete the works and ensuring this is provided in sufficient time to avoid delay being caused to the site works middot; Maintain client relations. middot; Continuous overview of all sub contractors to ensure that build targets are met. middot; Providing site feedback to allow monthly project reporting.
