About the role Balfour Beatty have a fabulous opportunity for an Electrical Fitter/Electrician to join our Rail Traction team to work in Hillington, Glasgow. With an extensive legacy of rail expertise, our teams safely deliver complex projects from consultancy and design to all aspects of construction and maintenance. Using advanced plant and machinery and unique innovations, we provide end-to-end solutions for our customers. As an Electrical Fitter/Electrician you will have sectional/partial accountability for successful project delivery including initiation, planning, design, delivery, monitoring, commissioning and handover/close out. What you #39;ll be doing Carry out electrical installation work efficiently in accordance with statutory regulations and industry codes of practice. Undertake the works planned and set out by project requirements. Be hands on with a positive attitude towards robust processes and procedures. Who we #39;re looking for Successfully completed a recognised apprenticeship in electrical installation / switchboard manufacture. Knowledge of the National Working Rules for the Electrical Contracting Industry. Achieved SVQ Level 3 Certificate in electrical installation jointly awarded by Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) and the SJIB, JIB or an approved equivalent. Experience in electrical switchgear assembly and installation. Good understanding of safe systems of work.
