Finance officer

Our client is seeking a Finance Officer to join them part time, 20 hours a week on a permanent basis, in Southall, London. This role will be 20 hours per week in Term times and 1 week in school Holidays. Main purpose of the role: bull; To provide efficient management of the school finances including budget and other administrative functions bull; Produce monthly budget reports highlighting any discrepancies or over/under spends. bull; Support the Headteacher, SBM and Governing board. bull; Produce annual budget with support of the bursarial team. bull; Promote safeguarding and welfare among the children in the school. Main tasks: bull; Place order and pay bills, ensuring delivery is to the correct person. bull; Provide financial advice and support to senior leadership. bull; Act in accordance with the Schools Financial Vale statement (SVFS) and Ealing Financial Handbook guidance at all times. bull; Monitor expenditure and ensure effective budgetary controls. bull; Ensure procedures are followed for all deliveries, insuring there verified and signed for. bull; Search for procurement ensuring best value for the school alongside SBM. bull; Monitor staff salary report form and input into accounting software. bull; Assist with school audit. bull; Responsible for bank reconciliation checking statement against income and expenditure. bull; Ensure all invoiced are pain in a timely manner. bull; Manage the schools cashflow and maximise the schools rsquo; interest withing financial, legal, and regulatory constraints. bull; Any other financial or administrative task that the Headteacher may need help with. Desired Knowledge: bull; GCSE in English and Maths bull; Proven experience in Finance, Human Resources or similar field or qualification bull; Experience of managing multiple projects, bull; Good working knowledge of FMS and or SIMS bull; Experience with MS Packages e.g. Excel bull; Ideal able interested in studying towards a CSBM/DSBM qualification. bull; Must be able to hold an enhanced DBS check.
