Section engineer

Balfour Beatty Vinci has an exciting opportunity for a SCL Section Engineer to join our our Cross passages team on the Long Itchington Wood tunnelling team. Role Purpose: To provide management and control of a section of works and team comprising Site Engineers management of sub contractors focusing on SCL and Concrete activities for the construction of Tunnels cross passages. What you #39;ll be doing: * Liaise with designer to resolve technical issues * Understands cost and value * Drafts correspondence to sub-contractors, suppliers and Client * Capable of taking ownership of tasks and communicating outcomes with clarity, including managing others in this regard * Able to work on own initiative and seek out opportunities in line with level of responsibility * Excellent team player, able to work competently and independently without continuous supervision Who we #39;re looking for: * Civil Engineering experience in SCL and Tunnels * Holds a valid CSCS * Has a UK driving licence * Degree in Civil Engineering or similar Balfour Beatty VINCI is a long established joint venture between two global leaders in the delivery of critical infrastructure. We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Section Engineer within the Delivery team. This role will be based on site in Kingsbury and Lichfield The northernmost site of the West Midlands stretch of HS2 runs from Water Orton to Lichfield. The sites are mainly rural and will link HS2 to the West Coast Mainline track.
