Interim group financial controller

Summary A PE backed international business is looking for an Interim Group Financial Controller who can step in an hit the ground running to oversee a transition period. The Client An international, private equity backed business looking to continue to expand their global presence. The Role Reporting to the Group Finance Director, the role includes responsibility for the delivery of all external financial reporting (annual and quarterly), maintaining internal records and monthly control processes and maintenance of financial policies and controls. The Group Financial Controller should be technically very strong and comfortable to have discussions around key accounting judgements with the CFO, Group Finance Director, Audit Partner and Audit Committee members. A key part of the role is to identify changes and improvements to reporting processes and requirements and leading the team to deliver on these ndash; this may be driven by changes in IFRS, changes in shareholder reporting requirements or changes in accounting systems. The Group FC is responsible for the maintaining and improving the Groups internal controls environment and processes, including oversight of the Global control environment and compliance with regulatory requirements and keeping abreast with changes Accountable for the Groups compliance with IFRS, ensuring acquisitions are accounted for appropriately and in compliance with technical requirements, as well as other areas of technical compliance and judgment, providing guidance across the Global finance community Supporting the Group Finance Director and Group CFO on other ad hoc projects ndash; e, g. financing, ad hoc investor queries Lead a team of c5-6 direct / indirect reports Successful Candidate ACA / ACCA fully qualified Global business experience (GBP1bn size) Experience leading on year end and group consolidations PE experience preferred Daily rate of up to GBP650 per day (inside IR35, via umbrella) or FTC of circa GBP115k - GBP120k Immediately available for a 6 month contract
