Learning support assistant

Position: Learning Support Assistant Location: Walsall, United Kingdom Type: Full-time, long-term basis Responsibilities: * Work closely with students aged 7-13 years with SEMH needs, providing them with the necessary support and guidance * Display a calm and interactive approach to motivate and engage students during lessons * Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring all students can fully participate in activities * Assist in personalized educational plans for individual students, both inside and outside the classroom * Build and maintain respectful and considerate relationships with students, promoting their overall well-being * Collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals to ensure the effective implementation of support strategies Requirements: * Experience working with individuals (children or adults) with special educational needs is preferred * Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff members * Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the development of children with SEMH needs * Flexibility and adaptability to work with students displaying challenging behaviour rsquo;s * A commitment to promoting a safe and nurturing learning environment This is an excellent opportunity for Teaching Assistants, support workers, or individuals with relevant experience in working with adults with special educational needs who are seeking a rewarding role within a school environment.
