Ambulance care assistant

We are looking to recruit trainee experienced Ambulance Care Assistants on a Temp to Perm basis, working out of one of our bases in Surrey. Full training is provided so no experience required, you would gain a fully funded First Aid at Work qualification. Availability for part time/bank work may be possible in other areas. Job Description As an Ambulance Care Assistant your role will be to transport elderly, disabled, sick or vulnerable people to and from hospital appointments and outpatient clinics. As well as driving the non-emergency ambulance, you #39;ll work alongside a crewmate to lift help patients from their homes into and out of the vehicle, and into the hospital/clinic so a good level of physical fitness is required. Some of your patients will lead isolated lives or be nervous about their visit. This is why we are looking for caring and friendly individuals who are able to reassure and chat with the patient to make their journey as comfortable as possible. You will be working within a market leading provider of patient transport services for the NHS, with support from a highly experienced training team. Pay Rates, Rota Patterns Shift Times: 40 - 50 hours per week. A variety of shift times are available, however an element of flexibility over timings is essential. Exact rota shift patterns would be discussed during interview. Pay Rate is GBP11.48 Requirements for the role: Essential - - Full Manual Driving License - Ability to undertake lifting duties Preferred experience - - Experience within the care industry - Experience Driving larger vehicles (Minibus/LWB Van Etc.)
