Position: Internal Sales Person Job ID: 1353/42 Location: Southampton Rate/Salary: Up To GBP27,000 Type: Full Time, Permanent Benefits: 25 Days Holiday Plus BH, Good Pension, On-site Parking plus more. The below job description will outline this position of: Internal Sales Person In this position you will find yourself speaking to customers both the public and businesses over the phone and via email. You will support the customer with product knowledge (don #39;t worry, this will be taught and can be obtained from the detailed system), followed by supplying the customer with a verbal or written (emailed) quotation. Once the customer has the quote, you either take payment for the goods and organise dispatch through the onsite warehouse or you call the customer questioning if the quote was of any interest - followed by reasearch questions surrounding price/availability. Typically, this person will understand the maritime environment, perhaps someone with a passion for being on the water as a hobby, a person working in a chandlery wanting the next step, or someone working in a maritime related business conducting similar activities. Duties and responsibilities of the Internal Sales Person: * You will: Speak to customers over the phone, via email and, should it be needed - face to face * When speaking to customers, you will learn to take accurate information enabling precise quotations (ideally a same-day turnaround) * Focus on customer orders and deliveries are invoiced correctly * Update any price changes on the in house system as and when required * Follow up on quotations sent out * Attend trade shows when required * A good team player Qualifications and requirement for the Internal Sales Coordinator: * Driving Licence would be beneficial for this position * Full right to live and work in the UK essential This vacancy is being advertised by HSB Technical who have been appointed to act as the recruitment consultancy for this role
