Electrical design engineer

Due to business growth, we are looking to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer for a leading engineering company working on projects for the marine, subsea and offshore sectors. Roles are available for both graduate level and experienced candidates looking to expand their career and develop with an industry leading business. The successful candidates will be provide engineering design functions in relation to Panel design and general arrangement drawings. You will also be required to produce all associated documents including FAT,SIT and SAT procedures, BOM rsquo;s, design reports and FMECA. Candidates will be degree qualified in a relevant discipline IE Electrical / Marine / Instrumentation Controls Engineering. Interested candidates will be experienced working with E Plan, 3D modelling and simulation platforms to take designs from concept to reality. Hours Mon - Thurs (Apply online only) / Friday (Apply online only) Role Description * Preparing project documentation including basis of design, detailed functional design specification, FAT, SIT and SAT procedures. * Creating design concepts and producing detailed design documentation from them including (but not limited to) electrical schematics, general arrangement drawings, cabinet and panel layout drawings, I/O lists, 3D models, bills of materials, alarms lists, design reports, cause effect matrices, FMECA. * Liaising with Purchasing for equipment procurement, preparing RFQs and technical procurement specifications. * Liaising with Production, resolving design documentation issues and creating as built drawings. * Start up, commissioning, factory acceptance testing, and where necessary site commissioning site integration and acceptance testing. * Production of final project close out documentation package including drawing updates, O M manuals, spare parts lists. Qualifications/ Skills * Degree qualified in a relevant discipline IE Electrical / Marine / Instrumentation Controls Engineering * Demonstrable experience working within Electrical Design role with knowledge of Marine/ Offshore applications * Experienced in use of EPLAN/ Solidworks * Excellent knowledge of electrical control panel design alongside knowledge of PLC rsquo;s, / HMI rsquo;s * Excellent understanding of electrical design principles * Ability to manage own workload and also work across multiple projects Note: This vacancy is being advertised by Complete Talent Services Ltd who are acting as an Employment Business
