Support worker

Job description ndash; Support Worker Headway Care is currently recruiting part time Support Workers to work in our 16+ Semi Independent Provision based in Redbridge. We are looking for people who are enthusiastic about supporting young people and helping them to develop their independent skills. Our team provides support to young people with a range of different needs, from food shopping, to appointments, cooking, accompanying them at College Open Days and to job interviews. Some of our young people may have complex needs and would require more support. At Headway Care we are looking to recruit personnel who have a passion for helping people and who see working with children, and young people in social care, as a career path. Experience working in a Semi-Independent provision is not required, but we embrace people who can bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role of a Support Worker. For people who don rsquo;t have experience as a Support Worker we require the following skills: #x2219; Experience in customer service/ Support environment #x2219; Willingness to learn the role and understand the needs of the young people #x2219; Patience and a willingness to help the young people develop independent skills Job Type: Part-time Pay: GBP12.00 - GBP13.50 per hour Physical setting: * Residential home Shift: * 12 hour shift * Day shift * Night shift Work Location: In person
