I am currently recruiting for an enthusiastic teaching assistant for a secondary academy in south Manchester. The role is offered initially on a temporary basis from as soon as possible until Christmas , possibly beyond. The Role Teaching Assistant supporting teaching and learning, predominantly with students in year 10 and year 11 Five days a week - 8.15am to 2.45pm The TA will be: - Supporting students on a 1 to 1 basis or in small groups. Specifically supporting year 10 and year 11 students with positive attitudes towards GCSE study Helping students overcome barriers to learning Supporting teenagers with mental health needs and anxiety Occasionally, acting as a reader and scribe in examinations and assessments. Work collaboratively with other members of the SEN team, senior leaders and wider school. The School Secondary Academy opened in September 2017.
