Methods engineer

Carmichaels are seeking a Methods Engineer to work on the HS2 project in Birmingham Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Methods Engineer will be responsible for providing support to the methods team. In particular: #x202F; Review and input to the constructability of the permanent design. #x202F; Draw up the structural works execution programme #x202F; Draw up the preparation schedule for Methods and Plant. #x202F; Participate in technical/price studies for different construction solutions for the structure. #x202F; Set the execution methods (methods statement, operating procedures, phasing, cycles) in line with the Programme and the Quality-Safety-Environment rules. #x202F; Carry out studies regarding site installations and the lifting equipment. #x202F; Determine all plant resources needed for concreting and safety: formwork for vertical and Formwork for horizontal elements, safety, lifting equipment, etc. #x202F; Provide monitoring and inspection of manufacturers of special plant/equipment: consultation, ordering, checking the calculation notes and fabrication drawings, acceptance in factory, dummy assembly, packaging. #x202F; Manage the Methods technicians/engineers and draughtsperson #x202F; Monitor studies of technical risks (Methods) of the project. #x202F; Skills Experience Engineering degree or similar #x202F; Microsoft office suit (excel skills) #x202F; Autocad skills to review or sketch up designs #x202F; Coordination and negotiation skills #x202F; Technical knowledge and profit minded #x202F; Methodical, have authority, available, attentive, objective, tenacious and have a sense of responsibility. #x202F; Business Capabilities include: Analytical Thinking Problem Solving, Decision Making, Influencing Negotiation, Interpersonal Ability, Planning Organising, Technology Process, Verbal Communication Written Communication
