Bms build management services controls engineer

Job Overview: You will be working alongside the company #39;s Operational M E team which is based at this large site with multiple buildings. The Trend BMS installed throughout this site bridges a number of generations, so ideally you will have experience of IQ2s, IQ3s, IQ4s, 963 and IQVision. You will need to be suitably qualified and have experience and training of the Trend Building Management System with knowledge of previous generation equipment and be extremely confident in fault finding. You will also need to have a strong technical understanding of networking and HVAC plant and applications and be electrically qualified. Main Duties: bull; Provide an exceptional level of commitment and professionalism in delivering value enhancing BMS PPM activities. bull; Work closely with the site operations team and the client to address reactive callouts and remedial / upgrade works. bull; Work alongside the site management teams to contribute to the overall strategy and development of the BMS across the site. bull; Carry out surveys, proposals and quoting of small / remedial works as required. bull; Identifying opportunities for remedial works that will improve the performance of the BMS and benefit both the client and the company site teams. bull; Become involved in larger project works and take ownership for these throughout the site on an ad hoc basis. bull; Have the opportunity to design and configure controller strategies and schematics to improve the usability of the BMS. bull; Use initiative to proactively adopt tasks and work alongside the site team, energy managers and sub-contractors to make the site perform better. bull; Seek opportunities to gain greater experience of Trend and Tridium through integration projects and engineering. This will involve completing the available training courses to become confident in both these systems. bull; Be focused on the company Plan Zero initiative and support all service line opportunities wherever possible. bull; Ensure all Health and Safety standards are maintained across the site What we are looking for: bull; Ideally you will have knowledge and experience equal to the Trend Expert competency level and have the ability to confidently modify software and schematics for 963 IQVision. bull; Experience of previous generation Trend controllers will be essential. bull; You will need to be confident in the use of the Trend SET (Software Engineering Tool). bull; Preferably you will be experienced in integrating solutions / systems through a number of different protocols including Modbus, MBus, Bacnet. This would include having an understanding of Metering and Open Protocol solutions. bull; A good knowledge of IT networks and IP Configuration would be beneficial. bull; Be effective in anticipating and understanding customer expectations and ensure customer requirements are met and expectations appropriately managed. bull; Have confidence in building partner relationships with customers and suppliers focusing on solving any problems
