Role: Residential Support Worker Location: West Midlands/East Midlands/ Multi-location within these areas Salary: GBP26,000 - GBP28,000 dependent on experience plus bonuses and sleep in pay. Are you an experienced Residential Worker or Youth Worker, or do you have no experience but are looking to build a career in residential care? We need determined, resilient people to be long lasting, significant adults in a child rsquo;s life. We need individuals who won rsquo;t shy away from a challenge and can be down to earth and pragmatic in any situation. WHAT WILL I DO AS A RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT WORKER? The real question is what don rsquo;t you do? Imagine what would you be expected to do as a parent, it rsquo;s the everyday things to sometime quite big things. Somethings are summarised below: * Making sure they rsquo;re up on time for school, have a good breakfast inside them in order to engage in the education system positively * Getting their evening meals ready and planning things for them to do when they get home * Helping them work through their homework (there rsquo;s always google!) * Encouraging them to get involved in activities or to just relax and feel at home as part of developing their physical and mental health and wellbeing, from social and leisure activities and helping with hobbies such as football, netball, musical instruments or playing video games * Keeping up to date with paperwork and reporting in order for the home to run effectively and compliantly WHY WORK FOR CARE AND SUPPORT SERVICES?
