Job Purpose We will look to you to oversee the warehouse and transport functions for the UK as well as ensure both present and future service provision requirements are in place to meet strategic needs. Job Responsibilities * Achieve KPI targets linked to service/quality/cost. * Effective contracts management of large contract, logistics service providers * Ensure effective distribution of finished goods to customers. * Manage Logistics Service Provider partnerships to deliver core KPIs and cost benefit initiatives. * Develop nurture strong lsquo;one team rsquo; working relationship with primary supply partner. * Allocate resources to optimise effectiveness of operations. * Identify oversee delivery of continuous improvement projects. * Participate in Cross Cluster and or Cross Deco UK Projects. * Lead organization to deliver transformational Logistics projects * Nurture stakeholder relationships across AkzoNobel. Job Requirements * Significant experience in a senior logistic operations management role covering both warehouse and transport operations. * Degree qualification, ideally within supply chain or logistics. * Experience of inspiring motivating teams in warehousing/logistics environments. * FMCG/Retail experience is advantageous * Experience of managing large budgets of GBP10m + * Ambitious and self-motivated to drive cost reduction targets and improve service * Effective at nurturing supplier partner relationships. * In-depth knowledge of managing complex logistics operations that are compliant and safe. * Development of performing supplier partnerships through focus on KPIs and SLA management * Management and delivery of large transformation projects * A self starter, confident in making informed decisions with passion for operational excellence.
