Job Title: Tape and Jointer Location: Derby Pay Rate: GBP16.50-GBP18 PAYE Start: ASAP Barker Ross are recruiting for a Tape and Jointer to work for a well known modular housing firm in Derby. This role is 3-6 months and has the potential to progress into a permanent role. As a Tape and Jointer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the finishing touches of our client #39;s modular houses are completed to the highest standard. In this role, attention to detail is crucial as you will be responsible for identifying and rectifying any imperfections or inconsistencies in the walls and ceilings of the modular homes. You will work closely with the rest of the construction team to ensure deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained. If you are looking for a challenging role where your skills and expertise will be valued, this role is for you. Responsibilities: Read and interpret technical drawings. Mixing and preparation of fillers and adhesives. Filling of staple lines, screw/fixing holes and any defects in internal Rigidur boards. Applying taped joints over all boards joints I walls and ceilings. Using equipment such as various sized mud boxes and banjos to apply filler and tape to the joints. Installing paper Aquabeads and/or metal beading to form external corners of internal walls. Able to identify defects and snag own work if required. Using long sander to sand down filler and tapes to prepare for painting. Requirements: Proven experience as a Tape and Jointer. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings. Strong attention to detail and excellent hand eye coordination. Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift heavy materials as required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Level 2 NVQ in Dry Lining Finishing- ESSENTIAL.
