Senior Mechanical Engineer Capital Equipment / New Technology TO GBP70000 + great package including bonus (up to 15%)+ generous pension + healthcare benefits and much more! We currently have a great opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a specialist technology division of one of the world #39;s largest chemical companies. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will manage activities within a complex, technology business and will act as technical lead and mechanical design authority for all capital projects. Key Responsibilities: Technical management of activities in the engineering department for new and existing technology Provide engineering expertise regarding the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of capital equipment Act as Responsible Mechanical Engineer/Design Authority on engineering decisions Work closely with R D, Commercial and Manufacturing teams to develop technology, improve performance, reliability, operational safety and costs Assess, test and develop technology and assets to improve quality and performance Ensure all assets operate in full compliance with internal and external statutory safety standards Support engineering work for customer projects ensuring timely delivery to specification Travel to customer and supplier sites to manage engineering activitiesKey Requirements Degree qualified Mechanical Engineer Preferably chartered or working towards Experience managing a multi-disciplined engineering team in a highly regulated environment, chemical, automotive, aerospace or similar.
