Assistant headteacher

We are looking to recruit an inspiring individual for an Assistant Principal role at a school in Redbridge. Our client is looking for someone who can lead the school in its continued success and maintain and develop the school/trust values and ethos. We are seeking a candidate with empathy, dedication and a genuine commitment to fostering an atmosphere where every child can thrive academically, emotionally and socially, The school is an outstanding special needs school, providing a supportive environment for both students and staff. They admit pupils who have severe and profound learning difficulties with a range of complex special educational needs including; Sensory impairments, Autism, complex physical and medical needs. The school serves a multi-ethnic population, reflecting the borough #39;s diversity and East London. We are looking for an exceptional individual who; * Is an outstanding classroom practitioner * Has QTS * Has experience working in an SEMH setting * Experience in either a middle or senior leadership position * Has a clear vision and ambition for 21st Century SEND education, supported by a sound understanding of what makes an excellent specialist school * Excellent knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the curriculum and what constitutes highly effective teaching, learning and assessment for pupils with complex learning difficulties and a wide range of disabilities. * Understand and empathise with the lives of children and their families living with learning difficulties and disabilities * Are approachable listeners with excellent interpersonal and lsquo;people management rsquo; skills
