The company are hiring a key role and we #39;re leading their search for an Electrical Engineering Manager. This company design, construct, operate and maintain solar and BESS assets. This Electrical Engineering Manager role comes with a salary of up to GBP80,000, a huge benefits package and genuine remote working with site presence too. Responsibilities and duties: Reporting to the Head of Engineering you will: Leading the technical electrical expertise when it comes to solar PV and/or BESS projects Assisting with all aspects of electrical design Managing the electrical engineering activities to help with different parts of the business, ie the delivery teams as well as design and sales Represent the client at internal and external meetings with key stakeholders, being the primary contact for all electrical expertise Liaise with the DNOs and ICPs Use your electrical engineering knowledge to continually look for optimisation opportunities across different projects, always challenging the status quo Liaise with the international teams to ensure best practices and offer any local market advice to others in the business Constantly work with the Technical Advisor to ensure all project issues are quickly and effectively rectified Prepare documentation (mostly technical and a little commercial), for key stakeholders when required Be involved in equipment selection and justification, using your electrical and engineering knowledge to assist in effective decision-making Travel nationwide to projects for surveys and for live projects upon need (although this is mainly a remote position) Other duties as required and full job spec available on request Professional qualifications: We are looking for someone with the following: BSc or BEng in Electrical Engineering Experience in the Solar PV and/or BESS sector Experience with DNO or ICPs is advantageous Design experience of Solar PV and/or BESS systems Chartered Engineer or working towards this Personal skills: The Electrical Engineering Manager role would suit someone who is: A problem-solver and self-starter Dynamic, agile or has an innovative streak Very interested in renewables and the energy transition; we want someone very passionate about the sector Excellent verbal and written English language Salary and benefits of the Electrical Engineering Manager role: Up to GBP80,000 starting salary Private healthcare Life insurance Travel expenses KPI driven bonus Office equipment if required How to apply?
