Alpha Recruitment are looking for a Mechanical Estimator for a permanent position in North Hykeham, Lincoln. * Start date: ASAP. * Rates: GBP50,000 -GBP60,000 (depending on experience and qualifications * Hours: 45 This is a great opportunity to join a renowned family run plumbing mechanical business with over 35 years of industry experience and a commitment to sustainability and customer satisfaction. As a Mechanical Estimator, you #39;ll play a crucial role in their Projects team, contributing to their continued growth and success. You #39;ll be responsible for producing mechanical tenders for various projects, both pre-designed and design construct, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and profitability. Key responsibilities include: middot; Handling client enquiries, conducting surveys, and preparing detailed estimates, tenders, and quotations. middot; Supporting client meetings and tender presentations to secure opportunities. middot; Refining the estimation process to enhance efficiency, clarity, and accuracy. middot; Reporting on ongoing performance and identifying strategic opportunities. middot; Negotiating with suppliers to achieve preferential rates. middot; Managing other estimators and assisting in their training and development. To excel in this role, you #39;ll need: middot; Experience in mechanical services estimation, ideally with an engineering/installer background. middot; Sound knowledge of mechanical systems, including plumbing, heating, and gas. middot; Familiarity with building legislation, gas regulations, and health safety standards. middot; Ability to read and understand tender drawings and specifications. middot; Strong communication, IT, numeracy, and organisational skills. middot; Commercial awareness and the ability to negotiate and influence effectively. While experience in specialist gases, oil, catering gases, contracts/project management. Electrical knowledge is advantageous, it #39;s not essential.
