Field service engineer

I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client who are a leading global specialist provider of equipment to their industry sector. Due to continued expansion, they have a vacancy for a Field Service Engineer to join their team. The successful Field Service Engineer will travel to customer sites throughout the UK and will carry out the installation, service, maintenance and repair of the company range of equipment. The successful Field Service Engineer will be electrically biased and will live ideally in or close to the following locations: Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Leeds, York, Hull, Sheffield, Nottingham, Derby, Birmingham, Lincoln, Grimsby, Stoke-on-Trent. Candidates must be flexible in their approach to working away from home as you will be expected to stay away most of the working week. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates with electro-mechanical engineering backgrounds who are leaving their military engineering career interested in working for an established company who are at the forefront of first class technology and who value the skills and attributes ex-military engineers can offer. Field Service Engineer Responsibilities: * Perform installations, provide breakdown support and preventative maintenance on the company rsquo;s range of equipment. * Travel to customer sites for service work, factory acceptance tests and training. * Provide exhibition set-up and cover when required for trade shows. * Produce service reports and calibration certificates after visit. * Conduct routine maintenance and ordering of spare parts. Field Service Engineer Requirements: * Hold NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in electrical engineering. * Have proven electro-mechanical skills. * Flexible approach to working and staying away from home. * Hold full clean UK driving licence.
