Ideal Recruit is seeking a dedicated and skilled Workshop Service Technician to join our esteemed client in the Holbeck area of Leeds. Location: Holbeck, Leeds Pay Rate: GBP14 per hour Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 07:30 ndash; 16:00 Friday: 07:30 ndash; 15:00 Lunch: 30 mins Key Responsibilities: Receive, clean, strip, and assess the condition of all manufacturers rsquo; actuators and gearboxes. Create a detailed report listing necessary labor and materials for repairs or overhauls and prepare quotations based on these results. Collect actuators for repair from local customers. Perform repairs and overhauls, and test units on the workshop test rig before issuing new test certificates. Factory fit valves/actuators. Report the status of devices requiring calibration to the Operations Manager. Maintain the work area to ensure efficiency, safety, and traceability. Complete and submit all relevant documentation in a timely manner. Ensure customer satisfaction through professional and efficient service. Assist in developing the skill levels of other craftsmen and apprentices, fostering a positive team spirit. Embrace and apply the company rsquo;s continuous improvement philosophy. Perform any other duties reasonably associated with this role. Candidate Specification: Functional/Technical Competences: Technical qualification and/or relevant knowledge of valves, actuators, and digital control systems. Technical knowledge acquired through a recognized electrical/mechanical engineering qualification/apprenticeship or proven experience in a similar technical role. Good understanding of basic electronics/electrical theories. Experience in a practical engineering environment. Ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics. Demonstrates an above-average mechanical and electrical aptitude. Proficient in IT, particularly with service department software and Microsoft Office.
