What we can offer you: Access to our company pension scheme Discounts on everything from groceries to well known retailers Access to a range of resources to support your physical, mental and financial health; so you can lean on us whenever you need to 24 hour access to a virtual GP, 365 days a year, for you and family members in your household One paid days leave every year to volunteer and support your community Ongoing training and development opportunities, allowing you to reach your full potential What you #39;ll be doing: Acting as an indirect tax business partner to the Veolia UK business; Answering indirect technical queries raised by the business; Build up an understanding of and manage Veolia UK #39;s environmental taxes, customs and excise duties; Prepare all UK VAT and Landfill Tax returns; Ensure accurate and effective compliance and reporting processes are maintained; Update the business on VAT case law issues and new environmental tax legislation; and, Work alongside and provide technical support to the indirect Tax Graduate. What we #39;re looking for: Part or fully qualified Chartered Tax Advisor or Chartered Accountant. Study support will be available for the right candidate; The role will suit someone with proven ability in VAT but with the desire and drive to expand their knowledge of other indirect taxes, particularly Landfill Tax; Intermediate skills with Excel and Google Sheets are required - any exposure to Workday is desirable; Organisational skills and the ability to work to strict deadlines; and, Strong interpersonal skills are required to liaise confidently with other parts of the business.
