We are looking for a driven and hard working Early Years Practitioner. This role will support and assist the Room Leader/Floor Manager, in planning and monitoring the nursery environment, and implementing essential policies and procedures. This will require creative thought together with an informed understanding of statutory requirements and best practice for childcare. It is important that we are compliant at all times; relevant action must be taken and resolved. The post-holder shall collaborate, assist and support the Room Leader/the Floor Manager with the following: middot; To work with staff in the room to ensure that activities engage and challenge children as well as encouraging progression through the stages of development. middot; Complete all daily nursery tasks satisfactorily as delegated. middot; To be aware of and adhere to the room procedure and risk assessments. middot; Comply with the staff ratio to ensure that children are adequately supervised during the day (indoors and outdoors) and at meal times. middot; Implement policies and procedures appropriately and as instructed. middot; Report any safeguarding issues and document and/or log any incidents, accidents or unusual situation. middot; To carry out regular observations on children in the room. middot; To ensure effective communication is maintained with regard to children rsquo;s welfare, the organisation of the day and passing on any messages to parents. middot; Adhere to the company rsquo;s Equality policy ensuring that children, parents and the staff team are valued and practice is positive and non-discriminatory. middot; Give regular feedback to the Room Leader/Floor Manager about the children including any complaints received or any situation that may be detrimental to the nursery and agree on actions required or taken to resolve such issues accordingly. middot; Consider every single day as an ldquo;inspection rdquo; day by OFSTED and ensure that the rooms are always compliant and can achieve an ldquo;outstanding rdquo; rating. *Duties and responsibilities in this job description are not exhaustive or restrictive, changes and other duties relevant to this post may be added.
