Site engineer

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Site Engineer to join our dynamic client for a prestigious highways scheme in Northamptonshire. This is a freelance position, focused on managing and overseeing earthworks and drainage operations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities: middot;Oversee and manage earthworks and drainage activities on-site. middot;Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards. middot;Conduct regular site inspections and provide accurate progress reports. middot;Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow. middot;Identify and resolve any technical issues that may arise during construction. middot;Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports, daily logs, and quality assurance documentation. middot;Supervise and mentor junior staff and subcontractors as needed. middot;Ensure all health and safety protocols are strictly adhered to on-site. Requirements: middot;Proven experience as a Site Engineer in the construction industry, specifically within highways, earthworks, and drainage projects. middot;Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations. middot;Proficiency in using surveying instruments and software. middot;Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. middot;Strong organizational and communication skills. middot;Ability to work independently and as part of a team. middot;Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualifications. middot;Valid CSCS card middot;Previous UK Highways experience.
