Mechanical fitter

Major Recruitment are currently seeking a mechanical fitter for our prestigious client based in the Huddersfield area. Due to continued growth and expansion our client is now seeking a mechanical fitter to join their engineering team on a full time permanent basis Ideally you will have experience in being able to strip and rebuild Helical, Worm, Bevel Helical, Spur Gearboxes is essential. Gearboxes range in size from 150kg to 10 tonnes. Our customers range in sectors from Steel Works, Chemicals, Distilleries, Oil and Gas, Wind Turbines, Quarry, Brick, Water treatment, Cooling Towers, et As a skilled fitter, you will be responsible for: Dismantling of transmissions Inspect record all damage and evidence of wear tear. Preparation Reassemble of transmission components/sub-assemblies Complete required paperwork for each job accurately. Ensuring company procedures and policies are followed. Effective communication in a professional manner with your colleagues and across the business.
