Production team leader

We #39;re seeking an experienced Production Team Leader to oversee the production line and ensure the efficient and high-quality output of goods. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and performance of THE production team, with the main focus to increase productivity and maintain it at the highest level, whilst developing skills of all team members. RESPONSIBILITIES Distribution of work and splitting tasks to drive productivity Troubleshooting problems during the production process to get the Technicians up and running again as quickly as possible Continuously seeking opportunities to optimise processes, streamline work flows, implement best practices, and drive operational excellence Communicate expectations across the team to meet deadlines, whilst maintaining quality standards Liaising with Production Control Manager with regard to deliveries, priorities and overdue orders issues Finding solutions and strategically planning are essential processes for setting the direction and priorities for your team Monitor and identify production functions and reporting systems, work allocation, priorities, failures and errors (scrap and rework), training and provision of adequate cover Daily control supervision, including downtime shortages Technicians personal reviews Establishing critical skill requirements, arranging training and support Induction/On-boarding of new staff and holiday bookings Dealing with staff performance, absence issues and team collaboration. Liaising with management with any disciplinary concerns Work space security and health and safety standards supervision Supervision of lean manufacturing/5S methods and standards within the Production areas ESSENTIALS Proven Team Leader experience within a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of manufacturing processes methods Assertive leadership skills Continuous improvement mind-set Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach Effective planning, problem solving strategic thinking Adaptable flexible Excellent verbal written communication skills Good organisational time management skills Positive inspirational IT literate KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES Sales Order Over dues (SOD) Cost of Sales (COS) Productivity Performance Downtime Performance 5S standards Customer Complaints Training and Skills performance Employee engagement WORKING HOURS Monday to Friday (38 hours per week) SALARY GBP25,000 - GBP28,000 DOE CONTRACT Temporary to Permanent INDAC
