As a growing organisation, they are seeking a skilled Fire and Security Engineer to join their team and contribute to their continued success across The Midlands. Job Summary: As a Fire and Security Engineer, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of fire and security systems in various commercial properties across The Midlands. You will work closely with their clients to understand their specific requirements and provide effective solutions to meet their fire and security needs. Responsibilities: Service, maintain, and repair fire and security systems, including fire alarms, intruder alarms, access control systems, CCTV, and other related equipment. Conduct thorough assessments of clients #39; premises to determine the most suitable fire and security solutions. Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs and provide expert advice and recommendations. Ensure compliance with relevant fire and security regulations and standards. Perform routine maintenance and inspections of fire and security systems to identify any faults or issues and take appropriate actions to resolve them promptly. Respond to emergency callouts and provide timely troubleshooting and repairs to minimize system downtime. Complete accurate documentation, including service reports, installation records, and equipment logs. Keep abreast of industry developments and emerging technologies in fire and security systems to enhance your knowledge and expertise. Provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues. Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others. Requirements: Proven experience as a Fire and Security Engineer, with a strong background in the service, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm, intruder alarm, access control, and CCTV systems. Thorough understanding of fire and security regulations, codes, and standards. Proficient knowledge of various fire and security system manufacturers and equipment. Sound technical skills in fault finding, diagnosis, and repairs of fire and security systems. Excellent problem-solving abilities with the capacity to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, colleagues, and suppliers. Ability to work well under pressure and handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently. Flexibility to work outside regular business hours, including evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight stays, as required. Full driving license and willingness to travel to client sites across the Midlands. Relevant certifications or qualifications in fire and security systems installation and maintenance are preferred but not essential. Package Salary is GBP33,000 - GBP38,000 DOE. 20 days holiday + bank holidays. Call out currently 1 in 4. Stand by allowance Company Vehicle which can be used for private use.
