Job Title: Finance Business Analyst Location: London, United Kingdom Working Setup: Hybrid Salary: Up to GBP44,000 Burman Recruitment are partnering with an large university based in London who are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Business Analyst to join their finance team. The Finance Business Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting strategic decision-making by providing insightful financial analysis, conducting performance evaluations, and identifying opportunities for process improvement within the university #39;s financial operations. Key Responsibilities Financial Analysis: Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives. Analyse financial data, trends, and variances to identify key performance drivers and areas for improvement. Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.Business Partnering: Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders across the university to understand their financial needs and objectives. Serve as a trusted advisor to department heads and project managers, providing guidance on financial matters and assisting in decision-making processes.Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in existing financial processes and systems, and recommend solutions for streamlining operations and enhancing productivity. Implement best practices and tools to optimise financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.Data Management: Maintain and enhance financial databases and systems to ensure accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of financial data. Develop and automate financial models and dashboards to facilitate data-driven decision-making and reporting.Compliance and Risk Management: Monitor compliance with financial regulations, policies, and procedures, and proactively identify and address potential risks. Support internal and external audits by providing relevant financial information and documentation as required. Qualifications: Bachelor #39;s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field Proven experience as a Finance Business Analyst or similar role, preferably in the higher education sector or related industry. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends. Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and analysis. Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
