Mechanical generator engineer

Main Role Purpose Responsible for the provision of an efficient effective service delivery / generator installation operations. JOB SUMMARY Working within the Service Installation teams to include hands on maintenance, installation, service and repair on a varied range of diesel driven generators and associated equipment bull;Minimum 3 years rsquo; experience within the diesel generator industry. bull;Good working Knowledge of diesel industrial engines. bull;Good working knowledge of generator control panels bull;Good understanding of Manual Automatic change over systems bull;Experience basic understanding of PLC rsquo;s and microprocessor based control systems bull;Good working knowledge fuel transfer storage systems bull;Experience of electromechanical installation work bull;Good analytical problem-solving skills bull;A comprehensive understanding of electrical health safety regulations bull;Ability to work within a team or as an individual bull;Able to demonstrate good written and oral communication skills bull;Be proficient in the use of computer software programs, (word, excel, etc) KEY DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES bull;To carry out all work in accordance with the appropriate HSEQ system requirements and manufacturers work instructions. bull;Carry day to day maintenance tasks at client rsquo;s premises such as major minor servicing bull;Installation, testing and commissioning of generators on customer sites bull;Assist Main contractor and site personnel with system commissioning. bull;Work alongside site electrical engineers to ensure all systems are installed in accordance with national regulations. bull;All jobs to be carried out within allocated times, and installation deadlines are met. bull;Completion of reports, timesheets and expense claims on completion of jobs in a timely manner in accordance with company policies bull;Provide daily updates of work progress bull;Monitor personal stock levels and report and shortfalls to service or installation manager bull;To attend departmental meetings, training courses etc as required. bull;Carry out any other reasonable duties / tasks as directed by the service / installation manager
