Audio typist

We have a brand-new temporary position available for a full-time Audio Typist to join our Public Sector clients. Pay rate: £12.56 per hour, paid on a weekly basis. Hours: 37 per week, fully in-office based. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys straight-forward tasks or is looking for an entry level role in Public Sector. Typists provide administrative and secretarial support to the judicial process. Although many of the tasks are straightforward, regulated by well-established guidelines and/or detailed instructions, some initiative may be required. Advice is readily available and standard procedures are usually followed. Audio Typists work within a team with regular management support and are responsible for their own time. Typing all pre and post tribunal work, such as statements and judgements, set asides and corrections. Providing support to judicial and admin colleagues and maintaining typing statistics relevant to personal output. A small amount of non-audio typing work may be required, although the work will be predominantly audio. Ad-hoc office duties may also include some of the following: Logging data Updating spreadsheets Audio typing dictations from other departments Skills Qualifications You are required to have: At least 2 GCSEs at grade C or above or equivalent, or relevant experience. A typing qualification of RSA II (or equivalent). Please be prepared to sit a typing and audio aptitude test - the expectation is that you can type 60 words per minute. Competent in audio and copy typing with a typing speed of at least 60wpm. The role involves a high volume of typing judgements and orders. If successful for this role you must be able to provide 3 years reference and pass a DBS clearance.
