Foundry process improvement engineer

Monday to Friday ARE YOU A PROCESS IMPROVEMENT ENGINEER WITH A BACKGROUND IN A FOUNDRY ENVIRONMENT? Process Improvement Engineer required for a specialist manufacturer who are well established in their industry. They are renowned for producing high quality products for a wide range of sectors. The role would suit process engineers or process improvement engineers from a foundry, castings or metallurgical background. Applicants will ideally have experience working in a ductile iron environment. You must have a proven track record in engineering process improvement and optimising yield. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for process improvement and optimisation. You will work to minimise internal and external scrap and strive to develop methodologies that produce sound quality castings. Within this role you will pioneer process design modifications to enhance the product quality, reduce lead times, tooling and manufacturing costs. You will work closely with the quality team to reduce cost of manufacturer and to eliminate the need to re-work castings. You will liaise with subcontract tooling engineers, pattern shops, customers, machinists and sub contractors of VFL castings. DAYS Process Improvement Engineer *Must have experience as a process engineer or process improvement engineer *Will ideally transfer from a foundry or metallurgy background *A proven track record in engineering process improvement and optimising yield *Engineers with experience working within a ductile iron environment will have a considerable advantage and are encouraged to apply
