Heritage/Planning Enforcement Officer - Local Authority Location: ST4 1RN Start date: Immediate Contract duration: 4+ months Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 37 hours per week Pay rate: GBP39.57 per hour (PAYE) Are you passionate about preserving the historical integrity of our cities? Key Responsibilities: Provide expert counsel on enforcement and planning law, policy, and guidance, aligned with industry standards and corporate objectives. Meticulously assess and recommend decisions on formal applications and enforcement complaints, ensuring strict compliance with legislation and approved policies. Execute enforcement actions with precision, including serving notices and taking necessary legal steps to maintain heritage integrity.Desired Skills and Experience: Chartered membership of the RTPI or equivalent qualification in planning enforcement, coupled with substantial hands-on experience in planning enforcement matters. Demonstrates a sound understanding of the relationship between development management, heritage, enforcement, planning policy and other material considerations.
