Role: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Qualified Social Worker to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities: Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and young people #39;s needs, prioritising their safety and well-being. Permanency Plans: Develop and implement effective permanency plans for children and young people in accordance with relevant legislation and policies. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including birth families, foster carers, adoptive parents, and other professionals, to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to achieving permanency. Direct Support: Provide direct support and intervention to children, young people, and their families, using evidence-based practices and promoting positive outcomes. Advocacy: Ensure that the voices and wishes of children and young people are heard and incorporated into decision-making processes. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and reports in compliance with legal and organisational requirements.Experience: Knowledge: Up-to-date and authoritative knowledge of work practices, systems, processes, and procedures relevant to the role, and the ability to apply this knowledge in new and varied circumstances. Specialism: Detailed knowledge in social care, health, and wellbeing specialisms, including an understanding of broader issues and practices in the sector. Supervision: Experience in supervising others, holding them accountable for deliverables and results, and a proven track record of planning and organising your own work and that of others in a small to medium-sized team or unit. Awareness: Organisational and political awareness, with the ability to understand the political implications of certain decisions and provide advice and guidance to political representatives. Qualifications: Typically, professionally qualified and/or relevant degree (or equivalent), plus substantial experience or substantial vocational experience demonstrating development through involvement in a series of progressively demanding roles. Formal professional qualification (where relevant). Budgeting: Ability to contribute to wider team or department budget planning through the provision of financial activity analysis or budgeting related to your own area of work. Risk Management: Ability to identify and alert senior managers to any areas where agreed policies, procedures, and systems may not be up-to-date or sufficient to protect the organisation from risk, particularly when dealing with families or residents.Requirements: Degree in Social Work and registration with the appropriate regulatory body (e.g., Social Work England). Significant experience in working with Looked After Children and permanency planning, preferably within a similar role or team.
