Commis chef

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Commis Chef to join our client #39;s vibrant caf eacute; team. The successful candidate will assist in preparing and cooking delicious dishes and maintaining their high standards of quality and presentation. This role is perfect for someone eager to develop their culinary skills in a friendly and dynamic environment. Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes according to the caf eacute; menu Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen at all times Prepare ingredients, assist with stock rotation, and manage inventory Work alongside a talented team led by the Head Chef and other senior kitchen staff Help with plating and presentation of dishes to ensure they meet the caf eacute; rsquo;s standards Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations Participate in training and development programs to enhance culinary skills Assist with the setup and breakdown of the kitchen for service Your skills: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential Culinary qualification or relevant training is a plus Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety standards Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Strong teamwork and communication skills A passion for cooking and a willingness to learn Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, weekends, and holidays Benefits: Competitive hourly wage Opportunities for career growth and development Training and mentorship from experienced chefs Positive and supportive work environment If you are a motivated and enthusiastic individual looking to start or advance your career in the culinary world, we would love to hear from you.
