With our rapid growth and continued development, we are looking to hire a Trainee Purchase Ledger Processor based in our Head Office in Wigan. Overview: We are seeking a Trainee Purchase Ledger Processor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the accounting department by performing various tasks such as processing invoices, payments, bank reconciliation and Sales Purchase Ledger duties etc. Duties: * Working in a small team, helping to process invoices each month * Communication on the telephone and in person with suppliers, staff and Directors, in a friendly, courteous and professional manner and communicate calls or information onwards to the relevant person. * Helping to manage the filing of information in an ordered and logical fashion. * Learning invoice coding and control * Helping to deal with supplier and internal queries * Preparation of payment runs ready for approval and payment * Production of analysis reporting using Microsoft Excel and similar. * Highlight any issues of concern, financial or otherwise, to the Finance / Invoice Manager when they arise The candidate: * Strong IT skills including knowledge of all Microsoft packages especially Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams etc. * Self ndash;motivated and proactive * Attention to detail * Excellent communication skills * Ability to work independently * Team Player with good communication skills * Keen to take ownership and responsibility within the department * Confident and have a positive attitude towards work. * Trustworthy and discreet when dealing with confidential information * Well organised, able to work on own initiative and work well under pressure Package/ Benefits: In this role you will receive an attractive rewards package that will include a comprehensive pension; generous holiday entitlement plus many other benefits including career development
