Production coordinator

Our client, a world leading manufacturer of precision measurement technologies, are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Production Co-ordinator to join their team on an initial 9 Month Fixed-Term contract. Working closely with the Production Manager the Production Co-ordinator will be responsible for; overseeing the production process, coordinating with various departments to ensure production goals are met and orders are completed efficiently meeting customers #39; required delivery dates. Responsibilities include: * Planning and scheduling work orders, without exceeding available capacity, to ensure on-time delivery (OTD) * Distributing workload between resources to ensure maximum capacity, flexibility and response time. * Liaising with Purchasing Department to ensure component deliveries are on track. * Communicating effectively with departments business wide, including Sales, to ensure customer demands are met. * Maintaining quality in line with respective Quality Assurance (QA) procedures and adhere to the Health and Safety policy of the business. This is a key role, and they are looking for someone who is reliable, flexible, efficient, and has Production Planning experience in a quality control or manufacturing environment. You will also have: * Demonstrable experience of Bill of Materials (BOM) creation and the use of a Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system. * Strong IT skills, knowledge of Microsoft D365 preferable * Exceptional organisational, prioritisation and time management skills and the ability to manage workload. Based from their HQ on the outskirts of Sevenoaks, hours of work are 7.30am-4pm Monday-Thursday and 7.30-12.30 Friday, 37 hours a week.
