The role of a cover supervisor is to ensure a pre-set lesson (along with resources and teaching materials) is delivered to children and the independent work required is completed. This ensures no gaps in the curriculum for any classes ndash; this doesn rsquo;t require you to be a qualified teacher nor a subject specialist. The key skills to this role are classroom management ndash; building rapport with the children you are teaching for the day and building relationships with both the classroom TAs working alongside you and the SLT at the school.
