This pivotal role encompasses the management of material scheduling, control, and storage of inbound material, ensuring seamless line side supply, including packaging, and overseeing Material Handling Equipment (MHE). The successful candidate will also be instrumental in production planning and dispatching finished stock to customers. This position offers the chance to work with cutting-edge systems, including SAP for master data management, and to take ownership of budget control and freight contracts. Key responsibilities include: - Orchestrating the Master Production Scheduling process and effectively communicating customer volumes. - Supervising supplier scheduling and controlling freight expenditure, liaising with 3rd Party Logistics providers. - Aligning production planning with customer demands and managing the Raw Materials Stores from Goods Receiving to manufacturing supply. - Ensuring stock accuracy through cycle count checks and achieving KPIs. - Upholding compliance with Quality System, Financial Audit requirements, and customers #39; Materials Management needs. - Reporting on Key Metrics such as On Time Delivery and Inventory Levels. - Applying Continuous Improvement methodology to refine business processes and staff development. - Enforcing safety rules, environmental regulations, and managing external logistic providers. Candidates must possess: - Proven leadership experience in a Logistics/Supply Chain team within a fast-paced operational setting. - Degree qualification, ideally in Logistics or Engineering. - In-depth knowledge of MRP, inventory control/management systems, and ERP (SAP). - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills (lean manufacturing, kanban, kaizen). - Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and effective leadership abilities.
