School counsellor

College Counsellor (PT) - Oxford Competitive hourly rate dependant on experience and qualifications c. 15 hrs per week Our client, an international boarding school for students in their last two years of secondary school, aims to offer its pupils a superior education abroad, thorough preparation for university and access to a future that knows no borders. Their students maximize their potential through the IB Diploma or A-Level programme and a majority of them progress to university courses in the UK. They are looking to appoint a part-time Counsellor to provide a professional and confidential counselling service to students, working alongside the pastoral and teaching staff at the School. The successful candidate should have a minimum of two years post qualification experience and previous experience of counselling with young people in an education environment, especially in the 16 -19 age range, and hold a recognised counselling qualification to at least Diploma level. Experience working with adults would be advantageous, as the counsellor may also be working with staff. This is a permanent, part-time post, term time only (36 weeks). The working hours are c.15 per week providing c.12 counselling sessions per week to include some time for administration.
