Job Title: Lecturer in Psychology Location: Highbury Campus, Portsmouth Salary: GBP28,315.00 - GBP30,931.00 (Full-Time Equivalent, unqualified) / GBP31,865.00 - GBP34,816.00 (FTE, qualified) Job Type: 35 Hours per week, 52 Weeks per year, Full Time, Permanent. Your role will entail designing and delivering lessons, conducting practical demonstrations, and assessing students #39; progress through assignments / exams. You will also play a key role in curriculum development, staying updated with industry trends and standards to ensure students receive relevant and up to date training. Additionally, you may be tasked with providing guidance on career pathways, industry certifications and work placements to assist students in transitioning successfully into the workplace. Key Responsibilities: Developing course materials, lesson plans and assessments to support student learning achievement based on brick laying related subjects Conducting demonstrations and hands-on training to enhance students practical skills and understanding Providing constructive feedback and support to students to help them improve their skills and achieve learning outcomes Collaborating with colleagues on curriculum design, program development and quality assurance initiatives Represent COPC with the upmost professionalism with every interaction Handling of sensitive information with confidentiality and adherence to data protection regulations Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes diversity, equality and respect among all members of the college community.To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you: Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Strong interpersonal skills, maintaining an approachable demeanour to aid a positive first impression and rapport building Customer focused mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional service Problem solving abilities in order to resolve issues independently or collaboratively with colleagues Previous experience in a similar role or a lengthy background within Psychology Psychology qualifications are a must Level 5 Certificate in Education or equivalent or be willing to work towardsDiversity and Inclusion Equality, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion are central to the work of the College.
